Brief Biography
Jan Houghton is a California
State licensed Landscape Architect who loves to do residential
design. Before moving to California in 1999 she lived in
Calgary, Canada where she was self-employed as a garden designer
and contractor for ten years. Jan is also a horticulturist and
has written three gardening books: Designing Alberta Gardens,
The Prairie Garden Planner, and The Prairie Rose
Garden.
While in
Calgary she also taught numerous garden design classes to
Horticultural Societies, Home Owner’s Associations and the
Master’s Gardening Program.
Jan’s
passion for garden making has infused her firm’s commitment to
providing innovative design solutions and exemplary service for
her clients.
